Avenham Road
Situated within the conservation area of Avenham the project will restore the road and pavement surfaces to a standard commensurate with the area. Providing traffic calming measures as well as designated parking bays the project will also incorporate a community art project.

City Centre Enhancements to the CCTV system
City Centre Enhancements to the CCTV system The project will provide five further cameras to the current system as well as upgrading the recording system to digital. The cameras are to be placed at sites identified by the system operators as blind spots; these include Church Street, Bow Lane and Adelphi roundabout.

FLARE - City Centre Lighting Scheme
FLARE - City Centre Lighting Scheme FLARE Project is the first phase of a ten year state of the art lighting plan for the city’s major buildings and heritage sites, streets, parks and open spaces. The first phase of the works will concentrate on the lighting of the Harris Art Gallery and Museum a Grade I Listed building. The Flare Project will set the standard for future city centre lighting projects that will be undertaken by others through the implementation of the City Centre Lighting Strategy.


Frenchwood Recreation Ground
Frenchwood Recreation Ground The project will ensure that the Frenchwood Recreation Ground is an integral part of the Avenham and Miller Park experience. A new multi age play area will be provided nearer to the site of Avenham Park as well as new planting, pathways and parking facilities.

Public Conveniences Regeneration
Public Conveniences Regeneration The project will provide three sets of three public conveniences within the city centre. These will provide one standard use toilet (formally known as Disability Access Toilets) with two unisex toilets adjacent. These toilets will situated in popular walkway areas and will be open 24 hours a day.
